While it is a long way from the city, the journey will start before 8:00. You’ll leave the lively streets of Marrakech behind and will soon be crisscrossing the beautifully rugged Atlas Mountains. After a brief stop, you’ll make your way to the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou listed by UNESCO, where you’ll be greeted by a knowledgeable guide. The pre-Saharan fortified village is one of the finest examples of architecture in Morocco. Located in the foothills of the snowcapped Atlas mountains, the village has been left untouched by the modern world, with simple traditional dwellings that huddle together within the walls.
